Verucchio Between IX and VII century b.C. an evolved civilisation (probably of Etrurian heritage) inhabited Verucchio, and it left many evidences of incredibly refined arts and culture. Santarcangelo has been founded during the roman age. Historians use to say that its first settlement took place after the foundation of the neighbour Rimini, around 268 b.c. Its countryside was interested by the sharing-out of all lands of the Riminishire to roman citizens.
